I have had this machine for almost 9 years without any problems and I run a raw food coop in which I make ice cream every week for my club members. This machine has been used again and again, and it has held up and continues to work as well as it did the first day we got it. I hightly recommend this maker.
OK I have had this thing for 4 months now. And all I can say is you will NEVER buy store ice cream again. Very smooth ice-cream, unlike the cheaper models that are nothing more than toys in comparison to this. If you are an ice cream fan, then splurge on this, you will not regret it. Simple to use with only a timer dial a churn button and a freeze button. The ONLY negative is that the bowl is not removable for cleaning and you have to sponge, re-sponge, and sponge again the bowl after each use. However the upside is that it allows for less parts to be lost or broken. The motor is quite sufficent for breaking up cookies in the mix and makes for a relatively firm ice cream out of the machine, more so than any other machine I have used, you do have to run the machine about 45 minutes to get a more firm ice cream. I have found for a simple recipe to just use half & half sugar and vanilla extract for a base vanilla ice cream and this turns out fantastic I'd add Hershey's chocolate powder and chocolate extract for a easy simple chocolate ice cream. When you go all out with the custard recipes you will have to start attending Ice Cream Anonymous for your addiction.
This ice cream maker is great and easy to use and the ice cream is great. But the claim to freeze ice cream in 30 minutes I have to disagree. 30 minutes would make a good milk shake but for good ice cream it takes about 50 minutes.
I've had this model now for 2 years. One of the best frozen desert machines I've used. It will make anyone not want to buy ice cream again. I bought it to make lemon ice, and now am makeing everything from ice cream to frozen daquiri's. It's possibilities are endless.
Fully automatic and precisely controlled by a timer, this machine takes the trouble and guesswork out of making ice cream, sorbet, frozen yogurt, gelato, and frozen drinks at home. Ingredients go into the bowl, the timer is set, two buttons are pressed and about 30 minutes later 1-1/2 quarts of a frozen confection are ready for consumption. Because the machine doesn't require its bowl to be frozen for hours in a refrigerator's freezer (like less expensive machines that only churn), it can immediately begin making another batch. If a batch becomes too hard the machine shuts off automatically. Not only does it work professionally it looks the part, as the housing, bowl, and paddle are made of stainless steel for sanitation and easy cleaning. The 100-watt machine measures 12 inches wide, 11 inches high, and 18 inches deep, and it weighs 38 pounds. Made it Italy, it carries a one-year warranty against defects. An instruction booklet with many recipes is included.
Really good in use!

I've had my machine for over 4 years and have used it at home and at my restaurant. It is wonderful and makes the best ice cream and fresh fruit ices anywhere. I would recommend to anyone interested in quality results. I've tried others and this is by far the best! I cannot imagine being without it, just ask my customers.....
