My mother has her birthday in a month and I am trying to think out some kitchenware stores gift for her. I think some small kitchenware stores thing would be a good idea. Something like milk frother, but she has one already. What else?
What about a set of miniature measuring spoons (silver or stainless steel)?
These are not your standard measuring spoons. I saw this set somewhere, it includes four spoons which measure a hint, a dash, a pinch, and a smidge.
These spoons are for those who are afraid to take the leap using the fingers to measure for such recipe instructions.
Two years ago I gave my sister kitchenware stores thermometer and two baking mats for her birthday.
Actually she did not like the thermometer, though it seemed very useful to me. It was electronic kitchen thermometer with large easy-to-read dials, shatter-proof clear lenses and calibration options. Even timer and remote beeper did not satisfy her
But she liked silicone baking mats for non-stick cooking. They are washable and reusable, and she still uses them.
